hey im looking at 6" lifts for my 94 full size bronco ( eddie bauer) i was wondering if anyone has any input on what type of lift i should buy. If any of yall have a lift yall want to sell im interested. im looking for something with new rear springs

Whatever you do, watch the drop pitman arm that is supplied with the kit. They put a hell of alot of stress on the steering box and we have been seeing problems with the sector shaft snapping off. The last kit we saw with a problem was a Skyjacker kit but I am not sure how RC deals with the issue.

Funny you should mention that, Andy.

I replaced I-dunno-how-many steering boxes on my truck back when I had a 4" susp lift on it. I kept trashing the sector shaft bushings. I figured I was just working at the durability limits of the factory box... but then I put on *another* box right before the SAS (2yrs ago), and haven't had a problem since.

I'd stay the hell away from Tough Country and Rough Country.... BDS is fair stuff, they ripped off the Cepek designs (best IMHO), and Skyjacker seems to be okay. But I dunno what Superlift's QC looks like lately... their reputation fell off a bit a few yrs ago with good reason.

I'd stick with a 4" lift and 33-35" rubber. If you go 35s, keep the tires narrow (12.50s) and close to the body (8" wheel with 3.5-4" BS) to minimize ball joint replacement cycles.

Actually, I wouldn't lift a TTB truck, but that's just IMHO. ;)

We do stock the BDS, very good stuff, Superlift has gone to s**t, but the steering upgrades they have for your vehicle will take alot of load off your steering box.
