Normally I wouldn't post this but it has been a long time in the works and I am totally pumped it is almost done. I will tell you that if you start a axle swap finish it before you move into another state. Moving it mid swap sucks.

I grabbed a bunch of parts several months ago to ditch the 44 in the front and to get a more balanced rig. Well many hours later I think I finally have it.

My lift stopped at 54" off the ground but nothing was binding and the limit straps weren't done yet so I think it will go another inch or two.

The entire progress was to ditch a front 3 link and coils. Install a dual triangulated 4 link and coilovers with a front 60. Then came the double ended ram, 42's, all new brakes, ..... and on and on until I don't want to think what this build just cost me. I am totally happy with it and can't wait to hit the trails.

I also fixed that pesky flat dana 300 driveshaft problem and built a 2 piece that seems to have solved my problems. I ran it up to 30mph without any noticable problems and that was with a shaft I put together so I know it isn't right.

Time for lots of

scott just never could pony up for that 60....many broken joints at DPG

Looks good! You're gonna love that 2-piece driveline.

Thanks,

This was a long time in the works. Once I added the 4:1 that 44 would snap if I farted. I finally ponied up the cash and dumped in the 60 and coilovers. I still need to rebuild the rear spring packs to finish balancing the rig. I probably have a day of cleanup and buttoning up the details. I am sure I will encounter problems with the front shaft, but since I can run a front shaft I am happy. The old shaft with the 44 pushed out still hit the transmission. The 60 was actually and over an inch narrower than the 44 and this shoved the shaft into the transmission.
