of Ibuprofen every 3-4 hours, for the last week or so, and until Tues

cracked tooth, prepped for crown but still very sensitive.

Root canal on Tues ( the earliest I could get )

fawk me this sucks bad !!

the $1250 for the root canal is painful as well....

it's gonna be a LOOOONG weekend !

( any cheese to go with this whine ? )

well, ya know, I'm in no position to be shopping for the lowest bidder,

Crown is a separate procedure insurance took care of 2/3 of that the rest is on me, because of previous medical issues I have to go to an Edodontist ( specializes in working inside the teeth )

Radiation treatments a few years ago may complicate the procedure

ya, boss said I didn't need to be out, just work thru it.....

ya, you get calls from folks bitching about the bill when we're on our game ( never about the work, just the cost )

what ya suppose it would be like when we're not on par ?

another dose of ibuprofen, and one Tylenol, and brushing with Sensodyne, currently feeling no pain, dose up again before bed, might get to sleep beyond 4am tonight.......


and no alcohol, my liver is being punished enough with the OTC meds
 
I had a root canal a few months ago. Procedure was effortless. Problem #1 - Started having a panic attack

Problem #2 - The gas was on and I couldn't wave my hands or yell for a nurse (or whatever they're called)

I remember passing out from too much gas.

Next time, I'll be prepared!
 
2 weeks ago when I was being prepped for the temp crown I was advised that this whole procedure may be a possibility.

I looked Dr in the eye and asked him if it would suck as bad as what he had just done...... after he regained his composure ( and the hygenist calmed down ) he said, ya, it'll be just about the same.

I don't like needles, I've been poked so many times the last 5 years I should look like a junky, between blood draws and other procedures ( IV, nerve block, biopsy, contrast push for multiple CT scans )

knowing that they'll be rooting around in my mouth again with the big needle isn't sitting well with me. for the temp crown I had to be shot up twice. probaly the same for the roto rooter
 
Root canal done! Feels like I've been punched in the jaw, which is an improvement over what it has been.

No ,gas just the shots in the gum, and actually wasn't quite as bad as the Crown procedure.

Glad this is over, I'm tired of being sore !!!
 
That shits to damn expensive!!! I went back and forth for about a week deciding root canal or pull the tooth. Woke up one night with pain so bad I wanted to slam me head thru a wall. Called the dentist the next day and said it would be a week before I could get a root done.

I then looked in the mirror, decided the tooth does not show when talking or smiling so I had that bitch pulled!!! That was the worst pain I had ever felt, no medicine would touch it.

Total cost for the root canal was $1095, I have to file with insurance to get what ever back.

I'm guessing it'll e less than half, and then I'll be in the hook for the next cleaning...
