I know next to nothing about Landcruisers, so I figured I would ask.

Some specs:

Body in good shape, some rust, but doesn't LOOK horrible, has a nice looking metal hardtop on it. 275K miles on original engine, and he says it runs fine. 3 spd. on the column, I6 engine, "shift on the fly 4wd" (I assume that is just auto hubs).

Definetly would need a paint job and some body work, not sure about the rest of it. Probably needs things like wheel cylinders, seals, etc.

The guy said the tires/wheels are good, but not high dollar stuff.

What could something like this be worth? I know the description is vague, but it's the best I can do without looking at it more.

I do know he said he won't even consider $500 for it though :)

Sounds about right. Drum all the way around isnt that great, i believe its the smaller F motor. It is the early style body which is less likely to hold water and rust like the 76 and newer 40s in the back. Depends on what you want to do with it, restore or wheel. Restore is expensive, id personally wait for 76 or newer if you were interested in one to restore and drive on the street. If you wheel it, it depends on how extreme you want it, they have different internals than what everyone is use to(splines and pinion to name a few). I just restored one and own one, i love them, but personally i wouldnt buy one that year unless i was to take the drive train out.
