After having the rear end of the jeep beat us to death at the last race, mainly due to limited uptravel, after ordering up some Profenders for the rear Tacoma747(Michael) is hooking it up, give him a shout for your fab needs, also has a burntable...View attachment 47264

its gonna take a lot more than some purdy blingy shocks to keep up w/Mark Z :D

don't think that we'll make it to Durhamtown. would like to though. i'm sure it will be quite a race!!!!

Thanks, gonna refine the design a little more to make for more bending and less welding, I also plan to make a 'skidplate' for the jack since the bottom is likely to get messed up on rough terrain. With the tires/jack mounted this way, a tire change would likely take about as much time as the time it would take to get out/back in the Jeep and buckle up. Plus, he could put a lock on it and lock the tires/jack in place in case to keep slick fingers from walking away with them.

Also, the jack box serves double duty here, it keeps the tires from kicking inwards at the bottom. The Jeep is all jacked up, the center of the rollbar is not necessarily the center of the tub, and the tire carrier setup shows this if you look where it is welded to the rollbar.

Easy, she might be a little damaged or "ugly"..........but she sure can cook!!!

Can you HF jack lift your rig? I have the 1.5 ton and it has some trouble and is unstable if not on level ground. Hence, still carrying the heavy hi-lift.

dont know yet?

You must have gotten a bad one chris. I have had great luck with the HF jacks, won't lift a diesel truck, and might not lift both front tires on the jeep (although it probably would), but they will lift one corner easily. Being unstable, well, i didnt think there was a jack less stable than a hi-lift...

Actually, come to think of it.. I've never tried lifting a single side of the jeep. I always lift both off the ground. It struggles, but does the job. Just don't kick it, it'll fall over!
