They were optional in 88-98 1/2 ton 4x4s, 2500 2wd light duty, 2500 4x4 light duty. I believe the 454 SS trucks were actually 5 lug.

all correct .i am running a 9.5 sf 8 lug that has been redrilled to 6 lug and uses toyota rotors,gm calipers.speedway brackets. pm me for build pics.
