Hey guys, someone here willing to give me great deal on some tires and wheels but wheels are 6x5.5 can/could these be redrilled out for 8x6.5
They're wide with good offset, 2 are beadlock other 2 are regular steelies which I could make beadlock down the Rd. Thoughts...thanks

You would almost certainly have to hog out the center hole, not to mention a 5.5" circle bolt flange on a steel wheel is probably too small for 8x6.5

Well...I butchered 8x6.5 wheels for metric super duty pattern so I can say much here but..

Just buy the correct pattern wheels

Since this is what you want to hear...
Just cut the centers out of some steel 8 lug wheels and weld them in the 5 lug wheels
Hey I'm ghetto but I do have my limits lol. Don't think I didn't want to but my better judgement tells me nope. Even IF I did, it would probably wobble like a wagon wheel haha

What size are the wheels?

As Jeff said, probly best to just sell them and buy another set of wheels. I would bet that the pattern wont fit in the flat part of the current wheel anyway. Also, atleast 1 hole is going to interfere between the 2 patterns, so it would need to be closed.

This, or...
Steelies are cheap, just get the right wheels.
This.

First, I was thinking get some 8 lug centers that are sized to fit the inside of that wheel, cut out the old wheel centers and weld in the new. It's not uncommon for people to do this (see re-centered H1 beadlocks).

But on the other hand, what @Fabrik8 said is also true. Hell, you could probably find a decent cheap set of steelies on the c-list right in your 'hood. Or, just go sniffing around a scrap yard. That's what I did years ago to get some 16.5" steelies. ...just had some bad memories of why I hated those things so much....
