ok...i did the compression test and nbr 8 gave me a cpl different things. first time, i did it by hand and it never moved the needle. then, i did it by bumping the motor and it jumped to 80lbs. i was like "oh sheeeiiiittt"!!!! then i took of the nbr 6 and tested it. it went to 600-700 lbs. again i was like 'oh shheeeiiitttt"!!! so, i pulled the whole bank of injectors and found a couple had cracked o-rings at the top. went to my local ford dealer (they were open till midnite)and got 4 new sets of o-rings and replaced them all. cleaned them up and re-installed them into their new homes and tried again. this time nbr 8 went to 300lbs and held. by now it was 2am, so i put it 90% back together and went to bed. i didnt start it. too late and i was too tired. my (self proclaimed, non certified know-it-all) friend said that i have a burnt valve and need to take off the head and have it resurfaced and valves replaced. i say f**k it and lets let her ride till the wheels fall off. im done. ill report later to inform of the impending re-start later this morning.
another update**
well i got her started finally and now the s.e.l. light is on and when throttling it smokes to hell and smells of raw fuel. i was informed that now that i fixed all those injector o-rings, all the pressure is going to the nbr 8 cylinder and dumping even more. ANYONE WANNA BUY A TRUCK?? maybe it is a burnt valve or cam lobe. think im done with it for real this time. think its for sale
