I have a 2002 7.3 Powerstroke. It runs fine and starts fine if you start it everyday. If i let it set a couple days without starting its hell to start takes forever for it to start up.And when it does start it misses bad.And never quits missing till I drive it about a half a mile.I can leave it running for 30 min but it will not quit missing till I drive it down the road.It starts great even when its cold if I start it everyday.I dont know anything about diesels.Anyone have an ideal?

it sound like your glow plug relay may not be working. very common on he 7.3 trucks. its right behind the fuel bowl on top of the engine. takes about 10 minutes to change and IIRC about 45 bucks

x2...you can upgrade to a larger relay for about the same cost. Just look up GPR Mod on any of the Powerstroke or diesel forums.

Along with the glow plug relay, I second the hpop reservoir level; may as well check it after it has sat for a few days just to be sure.

With this statement I am not sure if it is the glow plug relay, but I second checking it since it is easy to do. You could also have a few glow plugs that are bad and you can check those by ohming them out.

Relay is fine and glow plugs are fine.Turns out it is 6 bad Injectors.Anyone know where to get a decent price on them?I was quoted $1200 for 8 rebuilt injectors and having them installed.
