Congrats, Chip! Really is great that he's breathing on his own and doing so well. Will keep the little man in our thoughts.

Congrats and best of luck.
Went through the same w/ our son Jonas, born at 34 weeks. 3/11. Have a pic in that exact same posture!

Thanks everyone! He came out screaming, didn't have to be resuscitated!
Mom is upset because of him having to stay in the hospital for about 30 days.
They said when he reached 4 1/2 pounds, and had no medical issues, was eating on his own, no breathing issues, that's when he could come home.

i know in pinville at cmc they were so great with the 2 girls of the triplets they had some billy ruben problems were in for about 10 days but the boy came home with us so those 10 days with a 2 year old and newborn went by fast

Congrats to ya Chip  My buddy had a kid that small and when it came home you could literally hold it in one hand. Now it is one normal, healthy kid! In our thoughts and prayers.

I called on my way to work yesterday evening, and they had reduced his O2 from 30% to 20%, a good sign! Stopped in this morning to see them, wow was I surprised. Trenten had come off the O2 yesterday evening, and was still off of it when I left around 9am. I got to watch them feed him for the first time. HE was trying to chew it LOL, but, it is new to him. He spit most of it back, so next feeding they will give him a feeding tube. Not the most glamorous thing to see, but at least he will get everything he needs that way. Mom was out of her bed, I was not expecting that. She walked with me down to see Trenten and she got to hold him for the first time. Me, well, I took a rain check. I will wait till he isn't so scrawny! LOL
So for this morning, all news is good news

Still off IV, Heat and up to 3pounds 10 oz!
Already talking about sending him home earlier than they first talked about.
