Does anyone make this as an aftermarket part? I have a th400/203/205 combo waiting to go into my jeep with a 4.0L/. I would rather run a 700r4 for the lower first gear and the OD. Is it possible to run the 32 spline 203 behind a 700.? I am wondering about output shaft/adapter...any input?

Yes, a 32 spline output for a 700R4 is made, but be prepared to drop some serious coin. Somewhere around 500 bones last time I checked....definitely not worth it to me. Could you not find a 203 from behind a TH350 and use the gear box and adapter from that? I think that would actually be your best route, cheapest too.

x2.

27 spline 203's are pretty common, 32 spline are not.

yeah I thought about that since the 27 spline stuff is everywhere...I was just trying to keep it all 32 spline. How would that affect that the 32 spline 205 when bolting it up to the smaller splined crawl box? Guess it wouldnt really make a difference...?

It makes no difference as far as the 205 goes. I would not worry about the 27 spline 203/700.

x2.. ESPECIALLY with just a 4.0 in front of it.

Would the factory adapter for the th350/203 work with the 700r4 if I went with the 27 spline 203? I have all the stuff I need for the 400/203/205 swap, I just dont think I could drive a 3spd auto around town if my other car broke down with 5.13s and only 40s, correct?

Yes, as I said before, the adapter from a 350 will bolt right on a 700. The output shaft may stick out more/less than a 350 though, so you might have to modify it or add a spacer.

I might be alright. Found an rpm caculator on google. With 39s, 5.13s, and a 1.1 final trans ratio it would be spinning at 2674 RPM at 55...Seems like it would be higher?
