700R4 question?

Installing a 700R4 in the rig. I heard of some folks using a manual lock up switch on the torque converter and some not using one at all. Any pros or cons? Any input on how to go about it if needed? Thanks
 
with no lock up you will burn your trans up at highway speeds. a 700 does not have 100% cooler flow until lock up is engaged.
if it is a trail rig it's no big deal, if it's a dd i would suggest hooking it up.

Thanks everyone! for now it is 98% trail rig. May see a trip to town and back once in a while. I am just going to leave it for now. Can always add later.
