I had my 700r4 rebuilt, he put performance clutches in it, used a new torque convertor with a 2500 stall. and a tci manual valve to hold in gear at the mud bog. first time i tried to move it in reverse it acted like it had a transbrake in it, then after messing with it some it got where it would go forward but only in 1st gear, when i shifted to 2nd it would just slip. torque convertor bolts backed out on me so i tightened them back up and then it just was locked up, like a transbrake in forward and reverse but neutral acted normal. I crawled under it and the transmission cooler lines were cool, torque convertor was warm but not so bad i couldn't hold my hand on it and the transmission pan was so hot I couldn't hold my hand on it, all this heat happened with only a couple of minutes of messing with it in the shop, not even driving it because it was locked up. so what's everyone think? I'm not a transmission mechanic.......
