72 Blazer Build

Pic of the Bootyfab greatness that the PO did....

Welded in this winchplate and cut a chunk out of the front crossmember to run a PTO winch.

Nice rig. are you gonna wheel it when you get it finished?

well i thought it was broken or i had screwed something up for a while....then i realized you were not kidding when you told me it wasnt that great. I was expecting bead to come flying out instead of the little drip drip drip. It actualy works decent when you get real close, but without a hood it was just miserable getting that stuff all over my face. Thanks though, i just ended up doing it all with the grinder and wire wheel.

So i get the crossmember in and engine bolted up and head out to the place where my transmision was being rebuilt to pick up my rebuilt 350 and 205 with new seals and he isnt there, he wont be back until monday. I was going to do the whole deal at once so i wouldnt have to leave the engine sitting there on the mounts alone but looks like it is going to stay there until monday.

Got the fuel and brake lines wrestled in, the th350 and 205 bolted up. Was hott as hell out today so it was no fun at all. Also picked up my 56's yesterday and recieved my ORD 6" shackles and DIY4x's u-bolt reversal stuff. Just waiting on my Disk brackets and i can get the axles swapped out.

Here is a little update...I am probably going to stop posting this build thread over here, if anyone is that interested you can find it on Coloradok5 or wheelindixie.com.

A pic of the body work....Its going really slow, but its getting done. I know things look alittle crooked, but the floor and quarter panel are not welded in.

Disk conversion pretty much done with the DIY brackets, cleaned up the axle, and bolted on the DIY diff. cover.
