Hey im new to the forums and I didnt know where to put this so imma try here. I got a 75 dodge w100 powerwagon with a 727 trans and im goin to rebuild it. I was wantin to know what kind of tools i need for it.

I have rebuilt just about everything on a vehicle but when it comes to transmissions and axles I prefer to leave them to the professionals. Both have extremely tight tolerances and must be perfect or failure is inevitable. Trust ne I learned this the hard and expensive way.

No offense but if you have to ask what tools you need, I would not attempt it.

well see i love workin on anything with a motor. and i want to learn everything i can about em. and i wont learn nothin about trannies if i let a pro do it. and i want to learn so i can get better at with more trannies i do, because id like to open my own shop one day. oh and i dont exactly have the kind of money to have it professionally rebuilt, im on a tight budget.

I don't want to burst your bubble but,FIND A DIFFERENT LINE OF WORK.
Being a mechanic sucks, and you are already a little late to the game. I have owned my own shop for 10 years and every year things get harder.
Now the only thing I don't want to do is work on my own shit. You would be better off keeping your wrenching to a hobby.

When I was 19 I made a choice, a house or tools, I'm 42 and still don't own a house.

As far as your 727, if your going to try to buid your first, that's about as easy as it gets.
