i just got a 76 cherokee "s". is there a difference in the cherokee and the "s" model? im looking for parts for this thing and want to make sure there is no difference. does the "s" model signify a trim difference or something? sort of like how an explorer and explorer with the eddie bauer pkge is?

you should have dana 44s front and rear. the S means nothing. All the FSJs more less can be interchangable. Not on all things but there are a lot of similarities.

it's probably a 4 and has the t-18 in it with a dana 20 case. Not a bad mild wheeling set-up. If you have the t-18a you're in luck because it has the granny gear.

it is possible but I've seen them with 4s too. I'd rather have the t18a for sure over that T-150. The spread is too far apart for my liking.
