i have a line on a 76 jeep wagoneer 4wd. i dont know too much about it other than its a 258 6cyl. runs good, has an exhaust leak under the carb. (easy fix) and needs two front tires. i think they just need air though because they are in good shape otherwise. im not sure about the miles, but they are easy driven mile and it hasn't been driven in about 1yr. the paint is no more but no real rust and body is solid.
my question is 900.00 a good deal and can it be something i can play with. i think its way cheaper to play with than my 2000 chevy. play with i mean lift, and sling mud a little bit. no rock climbing.

Like so many new projects, it's worth exactly as much as you want to put into it.

Go to www.ifsja.org - you can read for days, and it's ALL about the Full Size Jeeps. Lots of experience and people who are eager to help.

IMO, a '76 FSJ with QuadraTrac & a 258 would have to be pretty nice to pay $900 for it. Check for rusty front floor pans and frame rot...especially around the gas tank. Feel free to join us over at www.cfsjc.com if you really get interested in it:beer:

X2 on what Earl Said Look Real close where the body mounts to the frame and on the kick panels.

If you want a J10 I have one for you but is has more rust and cost more $$ :)

everything looks real solid underneath. i think i might take the offer. kinda hurtin for $$$. savin up for the cruise with the wife ya know. i would really like to have a workable cj-7. then the wife would be on board. she loved the one i used to have
