so I'm getting my dads old 77 cj5 soon and its a v8, 3spd in the floor and manual steering. I'm wanting to convert it to power steering. I've been looking at the parts on quadratec and I'm still not 100% sure what all i need. Has anyone done it and can give me some advice? Thanks!

I have done the swaps before. I have the 3 brackets you need for the pump and I also have a power steering shaft and box. I think I even have a pulley for the pump. I can sell you a package deal if you want.

I swapped my old '78 CJ5 from manual to power steering. I got the following from the junkyard or used from online sales.
-From a Waggy
Power steering box
Frame mount bracket.
Power steering pump
Pump bracket for V8
Rag joint
Found the right pitman arm used from some damn where
Went with new hoses
I had a bell coupler joint in my CJ but the splines didn't match the Waggy box, so I cut the splines off the tag joint and the bell coupler and welded the tag joint splines to the bell coupler.
Everything else bolted up.
I was done for $150 and a six pack for a buddy to weld the joint for me. I didn't trust my welding.
