I need some help. I have a 78 CJ7 running on propane and I have had it disassembled for about 2 months replacing the intake and exhaust manifolds. Got it back together and it won't start. I believe it is not getting propane to start. It has propane feeding into the lockoff valve. If I pull the hose off between the regulator and the mixer I dont feel/smell any pane coming out. Do I need to vacuum purge the line?

I've never messed with propane so this is a learning experience.

small fitting on lock off, draw vacuum on that, at same time push button on center of vaporizer, that will free flow LP, you should hear it flow as you'll have near tank pressure out vapor line to mixer, the button on vaporizer is like a choke, it richens the fuel flow out to mixer. the vacuum hose needs to have a draw to open lock off

Figured it out. I had the small line on the lockoff valve on the wrong port on the carb. Switch it and it fired right up.
