Im getting a set of axles from a buddy of mine. I know that the hp44 has the cast arm mounts on it. My question is do i have any other options but to run modified stock arms from the f150 for long arms or should i wait and find another front axle?

that not an ideal axle, but your options are limited by your pocket book or imagination.. what do want the vehicle to be able to do? how much lift? daily driver or not? whats your budget? u building or hiring out? need more details? Yes its a weeker less desireable axle but u have a few options.

my plans are to run 4.5 to 5.5 lift with no biggger than 35s for now. would it be bettter for me to sell these and go pick up a 8.8 out of a exploder because i already have a hp30

thats the route i'd go for simplicities sake, if you want to up grade the front do it with a better 44 axle than that or really save the cash and just go bigger if you really intend to flog it. For the given aggrevation of that particular axle and since you suggest running nothing bigger than a 8.8 in the rear i'd avoid using that particular front axle and look for something else. Even if it the better Danna 44 with welded wedges.

This. The hpd30 is a direct bolt in, and the 8.8 has about the same width and the same bolt pattern.

Spraypaintman on here has an 8.8 for sale in the FS section right now
