So I’ve had this frame for close to 20 years. Always thought I’d build a cab truck back when I got it. I’m now thinking I’ll scrap it. Thoughts?

yup, Scrap

20 years deep, if you haven't used it, you probably don't need it. See if you can sell it.....if no interest in a week....off to the scrap yard!

I've actually tied to sell it a few times. I need to clean house so off she is going.

It seems crazy to me that with the rise in collectability of these older SUVs some resto shop wouldn't be interested in straight OE frames like that.

Scrap it...I've never known anyone to need a frame, unless they're in a bad enough wreck, and at that point, there aren't many vehicles worth trying to bring back. Best you could hope for is someone looking to cut one up to reinforce what they have...or is still living in the 80's and wants to stack them.

Plus it's an 80.
Not s huge demand for restores like the EBs.

It’s amazing what the 80s broncos and F150s are selling for these days.

True…but hagerty did run some articles on collectibility of broncos and it caused a significant run up on FSB’s. Which I don’t particularly think is an accomplishment in prognostication, as most run ups/collector vehicles are driven by dudes from 35-50 trying to relive their youth, but have money now.

same thing going on with 80s and early 90s Toyota trucks too. Holy crap the collector resale on a nice 4runner. Its made them a real theft target, when 15 years ago they were the typical $500 beater shitbox nobody cared about.
