After wheeling my Tacoma at Windrock and URE I decided I would build a beater to keep my DD nice.

Picked up the truck June of 2012. Got it cheap. A diamond in the rough some would say. I have built this truck outside, with no air tools. All modifications have been done by me short of the R&P setup.

As of now.

Within the next few months I got a rebuilt motor, rebuilt the front axle, lifted the front and swapped 63" chevys in the rear.

Got some 33x10.5x15 BFG KM1's on CL. Also swapped the Rough Country front springs with a set of RUF's. Swapped a set of 79' round headlights and grille. Came out of a Limited Edition pickup.

December 2013. I got a set of TG 4.7's for the case. Probably the best mod to date.

Bought a set of doors off a local guy and made them into half doors. The truck worked awesome at this stage, 33's locked f&r & 4.7's, took me everywhere I pointed it . Wish I would have kept the 33's.

This truck has been to URE countless times, Gulches once and the Compound, along with a few private trails. Been a lot of fun and hope it brings many more years of adventure. Lots more has happened between June 2012 to recent, but I am slightly lazy and don't feel like going into full detail.

 I am totally digging that truck! I can't wait to put one together just like it. Not worried about it being so straight and clean though. Maybe I can swing it this summer.

Favorite 1st gen by far. Still remember the hill climb on dutch. Quoting Jarret "that's not the smell of clutch, that's success"
