83 to 85 4x4

I have a 2000 silverado z71 4wheel drive. I am looking to get an 83 to 85 ford or chevy 4x4 to get away from emissions any sugestions

You're wanting to step back 30 years in technology to get away from just the emissions testing? I can't say much since I got rid of my '07 Tacoma to get away from the payment, but that's different. You will be safe from emissions, but will spend just as much money restoring or rebuilding components.

Yes but if or when we are hit with emp burst easier to get back on road. My 2000 is a total loss truck and needs motor rebuild its fixed but salvaged title

if you are looking to emp proof anything you might as well make sure its something that parts are easily salvagable in parking lots.

side note....

if EMP is all you are worried about, build an emp shelter to park it in.

There's a sweet 86 ford for sale on here. Get that. 85 has always had a soft spot for me. First truck was an 1985 f250.
