83 YOTA

I have a 83 Toyota / 22r runs great, when it feels like with no ryme or reason it will die and not idle at a stop sign/light. It may be once a day, it may be 3 days between??? It will fire right back up and I have to feather the pedal to keep it going and maybe 2 to 3 more stops and it will run fine and idle. Starting to get old quick!!! ANY IDEAS????????

Sounds like it needs the carb rebuilt or you could have a vacume leak.......

Sounds like the carb is gunked up and the throttle plate fully closing time to time. Clean it and adjust the idle.
