Which axles bolt right in underneath an 84 Bronco II?
I know Dana 35's and early 44's do.
any others?
:bronco:

anything with a little work will

but the easy swap is a dana 35 front explorer axle

what he said the 35 will bolt in and the only thing that will need to be changed it the front driveshaft will be about 1" to long

your desired final tire size budget and fab skills is usually what decides what will and wont fit, but like these guys said the Dana 35 to stay twin i beam and the smaller 44 straight axle is nearly identical in width. The spring pads and overall width is real close allowing the stock buckets to be reused. The wider fullsize axles are more plentiful but require alittle more work. U can run a number of link, spring, trackbar, steering arrangements. I've fabbed about all of them. Stock radius arms off a straight axle truck are fairly easy to work out. The C's do limit travel and wristing one can help. You can run them lengthened or stock. A track bar is needed with these. Four linking these trucks are a little challenging due to the front engine crossmember and the frame design. Steering fairly straight forward, y links or panhard bars with drag links are mostly the norm. I prefer the later or full hydro. Leaf sprung is also another option and works well with wider axles and can be done on the cheap. IMO if your going anything bigger than 33's go with the straight axle, pending on the 44 u choose you'll soon be getting chromo shafts because thay are not all equal. The older narrow 44's use a smaller series u joint. good luck. The rangerstation.com has alot of good info if you can tolerate the bs.

:driver:uh i re-read your first post.....no nothing else will bolt right in

no the rear is a 7.5 and its not a dana, its also alot stronger than the front
