Purchased a CJ that at one time had a lift on it but was put back to stock who knows when. There is a funky looking Pitman Arm on it now so the steering rods sag a bit. If I replace this arm with a straight one will it take some of the play out of the steering wheel? Current Pitman Arm looks like a letter 'S' from the side if that makes sense.

I assume you mean the with the dropped pitman arm installed & no lift, the draglink (runs from pitman arm to PS steering arm on knuckle) is running "uphill" to the steering arm?

If you don't need the dropped pitman, put a straight on!

Edit: However, if you have slop/play in the steering, it's unlikely to account for that... could be any of the tie-rod ends, balljoints, or bad alignment (caster/camber/toe)
