84 Toyota...help tracing wire..

This is a 84 22R. Facing the truck its a thicker gauged wire (hot) that comes out near the right headlight harness... I cant figure out what it hooks to..the 3 red wires are to the headlight.

I think it's to the alternator/voltage regulator. Do you still have the OEM one?

I dont know..wheres it located I replaced some regulator that is bolted to the inside fender drivers side..the end of the wire looks like it would bolt to the alternator but I didnt see a place for it..

Nope, I was wrong. Mine goes to a little covered box on the drivers front fender and stops. Not sure what it's for but my whole set up over there is a bit hacked up for a GM 1 wire. The jumper you see is to keep the charge light off in the dash.
