Working on a 85 4Runner for a friend. I don't have a whole of experience with these so I'm going to need some help.

Everything looks pretty good for a vehicle that has been in the same spot for 4-5 years. I've got a couple wires that are not connected under the intake. It also appears the oil sending unit is not plugged in. Are these the wires that should be connecting them?

This wire is white with a black stripe

This wire is green with a red stripe. You can also see the sending unit is not plugged in.

oh, never mind, its supposed to be threaded into one of those holes on the left that look like they're either full of mud or have a stud broken off in them.
Looks like you'd got your hands full...

BTW there are 2 kinds of sending units, depending on the dash. One is just a dummy "on/off" for a light, the other is a linear unit for a gauge. IIRC that sensr is for the dummy. I'm guessing this is not an SR5 truck?

Green with red stripe is knock sensor I am almost 100% positive mine on my 85 4runner broke of one time was down on power once I fix that power was back it pulls timing if it See's knock so with out it your timing is no bueno

reading off the schematics, the green red is a vsv trigger, and the other should be yellow/black for oil pressure to the dash. itll look white after 30+ years

knock sensor is solid black on all the ones i got for a 22re
