D44 came off a 85 waggy I was wondering if anyone knew if any of factory trac bar, draglink, or the lower control arms mounts would bolt up with a 96 ZJ? Only reason i ask is so i wouldn't have to cut and weld those, it would only be shocks and spring perches to put on!!!! Thanks

I do not know of any "bolt on" brackets for any of the coil sprung suspensions. My personal thought is that it would be too weak. I know I had carolina rock shop weld the brackets on my axles, price was reasonable.

Not "bolt on" I was wondering if any of the front steering from the waggy front, tbar, drag, lower C arms would work with the factory steering mounts on my ZJ!

I wouldn't use any of that old junk.....Do you steering the right way.

The 44s have been on road until I bought them it has rancho steering stab. and most the steering is fairly new but its set up for 85 waggy dunno if need to cut it all off and start from scratch on axle or if some works?

Well you'll be going from leaf springs to coil springs. Leaf sprung suspensions don't usually have control arms because the springs themselves locate the axle...

I don't know for sure, but my guess is that for two different vehicles made 20 years apart with entirely different suspension linkages and spring types that no, none of the links will bolt right up.

EDIT: Maybe the draglink will. But I doubt it.

Yeah its leaf, and I thought the same thing... but it all is mainly the same as how the d30 is set up on zj now!!! and dunno what the mounts at bottom of axle are if not L C arm bracket???

Your "mainly the same" comparison is like the Empire State Building & the tree house I built at age 12... both were "tall" and that's where it ends. The ONLY similarity between how these 2 axles originally mounted... is underneath a vehicle!

Shock mounts...

I think the problem is you're throwing steering in with suspension there.

Because I'd like you to look at your ZJ and, assuming its close to stock, you'll notice that 4 control arms and a trac-bar (panhard) co-operate to locate the axle as it cycles through the suspension travel. That suspension is performed by coil springs, damped by shocks.

Now go look at a leaf-sprung vehicle like a waggy. Yes, the steering may be transferred from the steering box via a pittman arm, draglink, and tie-rod but that has nothing to do with keeping the axle under the vehicle. Now look at the parts that hold the axle in place, and suspend the weight of the vehicle above the axles.

See where the similarities stop?

Either way, I demand that you post some pics of this once you start cutting and welding.

I see what ya saying guess this is kinda pointless without pics! I was assuming I could get adj trac bar and use trac bar mount on 44 and bottom mounts could be shock mounts but seemed like L control arm mounts to me???? I'll get it started and put some pics up!!!!! Thanks anyone wanna help gimme a yell its a one man show as of now!!!

Yup def shock mounts... Thanks

I believe trac bar might too unless its gonna be in upper arm mounts way! I dunno i'm doing all the work on this jeep i've owned it for 2 yrs now and decided to beef everything up since i tore it apart in mtn city!!! Sorry its not so descriptive on what i'm needing to know! thanks tho:Rockon:

HA!!!!!! Tore it up he sez.You destroyed a perfectly good piece of crap. Wait a min! My jeep was broke on the same trip...........Never mind :(
Shit bitch I havn't seen ANY of ya jeeps do half the shit mine can so saying that!!! OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH yeah my jeeps "Built not bought" bitchnuts:flipoff2::fuck-you:
