85 j10 tranny

It will be a 727 and again, no it will not bolt up to anything but an AMC engine

edit-possibly a 999 but unlikely, and again only bolts up to AMC stuff

I just rebuilt one for $250. If you have the time and the resources, it is worth it. If not, you can find used 360s for $300-$500.

What exactly is wrong with yours?

i just bought a 85 j10 for $400 not running and when i took the heads off one of the pistons were burnt up like it was getting ready to detonate so im gonna rebuild it before anything to serius happens

10-4, did not know if you needed something running quickly, I have recently seen a few 360s for sale cheap

or you could contact tanker on here and see what he has. I am sure out of his 70something FSJs he would have a good 360

Your TF727 tranny won't bolt up to anything but an AMC.

Your t'case will be the standard round pattern so it will bolt up to any TH350/700R4 that had an aluminum t'case behind it. If you have the NP208 case I would keep it.

I can help you with that 360. I can have the whole motor gone through for about $1250 or less depending on how bad it is.

Check Pullapart

There's a '79 Jeep Cherokee at the pullapart in Charlotte. Might wanna take a spin down there and see. If the engine is still in it it'll be either a 360 or 401 (360 most likely). I think the entire engine should be like $150ish. Check there. If not, there's dead Jeep around everywhere. If you look around, you can find entire parts rigs for $500 or less (mine's waiting for me:eek:)
