I got a 1985 Toyota pickup and I started out changing the front breaks and rotors, well that led to finding a leak in the back of the swivel hub. Well i went to the local Autozone and Advanced auto and first off they didnt/ couldnt find the gasket that goes between the swivel hub and the retainers. and upon getting to the seals i found out that the swivel hub bearings are bad one one fell apart in my hand. the bearing is a Koyo bearing with the part number TR0305A. And autozone and advanced couldnt find a cross number to get the right one. Does anyone know what bearing i can get to replace it cause i know some of yall has messed with the 80s toyota straight axle and had to find parts for it. Thanks

Here's pics of where I'm stuck at

Since I did put this in the build thread, I reckon i should put something on my build not just questions on stuff I can't find. I picked up this 85 Toyota just as something to tinker with and make into a reliable DD. I got it just noticing that it had a wood bed that was shorter than the frame rails with the factory tail lights wood screwed into the wood boards. In my check list it goes break system, new motor (sounds like a midget is sitting inside it with a hammer), and make a new bed.

Best thing on the seals your looking for or felts as most people call then is to order a knuckle service kit online. Get ahold of chase at east coast gear supply. He is vendor on here. I'm sure he can fix you right up.

Also hit up Higgins Automotive there in Salisbury. He has a million used parts for Toyotas you probably can pick up on the cheap.

I ordered a knuckle service kit from lowrangeoffroad.com and hopefully it will be here by the weekend. Where is east coast gear located, I might have to swing by there sometime?

I'm going to have to go check that place out. I got a bunch of parts I'm looking for (quarter panels and grille) maybe he can cut me a deal.

check out the ultimate kit lowrange offroad offers. I am using it on my truck.

 &

Should of fixed the motor first and left the small bed on it....
Looked like money to me!
Doubt it will be a daily driver very long. :driver:
Well we wasn't doing anything at the place I work so I made some shooting targets for my boss man and truck bed for me. All I had to really get for it was the 11ga plate for the deck. Just something to tinker with til I got the money together for the motor.

Old bed wasnt big enough to haul the Foreman on. Im down with truggys/crawlers/buggys etc. But a truck with no bed? Mise well have a car :)

Yeah I put my cousins little 125 dirt bike on the back of it to take it back to her house and the back tire was hanging off the bed. Had to haul the damn thing crossways just to get it to fit. But the foreman will fit on the 5x6.5 bed I'm making for it tho. Only bad part is is that the foreman weighs about as much as the yoter does.

Waiting on parts to come in gave me some time to work on the bed a little bit more. Still gotta make a drop plate for the lights and make a receiver that'll mount to the frame rails.

The wheel hub assembly parts came in today. After a week of not messing with it I gotta remember where everything went and what order it goes in.

The Toyota bible on Pirate and IHMUD will have more than enough information regarding that. After assembly of the knuckles you remove a square headed bolt behind the steering arm and pump in grease from a grease gun.

Don't put much grease on the locking hub assembly. It will create a vacuum the next time you pull it off and all of the springs pop out of the cog thingys. I speak from experience and that is when the fun really begins!
