bout to start building my daily driver in to a weekend ride. plan so far is to run the sterling 10.25 rear with a dana60 front. found a high steer conversion for it that will give me room to go up 15 in without having any problems. i know this is going to be a costly build and it would be way easyer to just go get a 79 f250/350 but this truck was my dads first truck and im going to keep in it the family and pass it down to my son. im currently 16 and just got a job making 7.25hr working around 30h a week so i know its going to be a long build but i have no bills what so ever. this willl be me and my dads first sas swap so im learing slowly. really putting this tread up to get suggestions on the build and were to buy stuff for cheap. currently i have nothing but in the next couple weeks im going to get a 10.25 sterling rear end bone stock from my girl friends step dad witch is selling it for 125. my plan is to get both rear and front end and then gear them. i found a guy that will do both front a rear for 800 any gear. plan on running 5.13 or bigger. plan is to run 12in springs, still looking for some 3in drop down hanger brakets, i already have a 2 in body lift so it will be a total around 14in lift. really trying to build this ride rite and not have a death wobble or a tire kicker. still trying to figure what tire i want to use either 46 or 48 michilans. any suggestions will be great thanks.
