You're making sweet love to that thing aint you?

Ha, I do what I can.

Went to pull a part this morning for a few odds and ends, came home and washed all the interior pieces, put together my gauge cluster, and put in the freshly painted steering column. Still working out the wiring as I go. Gonna leave the stuff for the power windows/door locks, etc. Just in case I decide to go that route.

Well, thought I would be OK with just putting the wiring in and cutting off anything that wasn't being used....then my OCD kicked in......Got rid of all the stuff that wasn't going to be used in the 'manche, besides the power door, keyless entry, and power window harnesses. (might decide to use those some day)

Started with this cluster:

Almost ready to start splicing!

And DONE!!! A complete H.O. XJ harness mated to a Renix MJ harness. (dog for comparison only) Since I will be using the XJ fuel sender in a baffle free MJ tank, I left the wiring for that alone, everything else went together great, piece of cake!

Had the day off, so after I finished most of the honey-do list, I got started on some long overdue attention to the comanche bed. I also cleaned up the intake, just waiting on new injectors and the bored throttle body.

Pressure washed and sanded the bed (one side anyway)

And then some primer-

I really hate the paint on this side of the bed. The other side and back sand as normal, The bedside was replaced at some point, and the paint that was used is extremely soft, some parts sanded smooth. and a few places look like this- Crap

Maybe another coat or ten of primer will smooth things out.

Thanks dude! Long time no talk! I ended up getting an orbital and sanding it all back down and starting over, looks 10 times better now.

Got the carpet in and cut, painted the console and bolted it down. Looks pretty good!!! Used Krylon fusion in glass black, looks almost factory.

Sweet build always like these trucks. Looking really good. Take your time an dont get in a hurry. You will be glad you did when you get it finished.

Thanks Man! I'm def in no hurry, mostly because of the lack of funds and the current heat wave. It's miserable working in a hot/humid garage!
