88 Cherokee Dana 35(?) Question

Just picked up a 88 Cherokee and think i have a Dana 35 for the back rear. Had it jacked up last night and both wheels spin the same direction. When i try and hold one wheel i can't spin the other wheel. Do i have a locker, posi, etc?

Was it modded by PO? Take the rear cover off and inspect. May be welded spiders. Or, you could have a LSD, posi,etc.

Figure out if it's a D35 or not, then find some spare shafts cause you're gonna need them!

I am guessing because Turdy5's are notorious for going explodo-pop even on street occasionally with mild tire sizes.

Shafts not axle... well, maybe axle would be better.

If the diff cover has a rubber plug its a D35, if so I have some spare shafts I could sell ya out of a 2000 TJ. PM me if your interested

nope....not on one from an 88. that would be a non c-clip, the older ones are slightly stronger than the newer ones.
