88 cherokee really hard cold start

I have an 88 cherokee with HO4.0 and all renix sensors. first seemed like my tranny was shot... then it died and i could barely get it started again. now it takes about 15 minutes of cranking to get it started. Ive tried to poor mans prime the pump. verified the spark. I dont get it. the FN thing has gas and spark:wtf:after i get it running it starts right back up but it runs rough.
 
ok here we go. owned more of renix than junkyard has.... .start with ignition module under coil, sounds like that and usually that will cause your symptoms, however if crank sensor is original replace that, its cheap and better to have new one anyways,start there and let me know.
 
I got it running, I wired the CPS directly to the computer and my MSD was acting up. I don't use an adapter, I modified the sensor to bolt directly to the TB.. Thanks for your help. Can you point me in the right direction to test my MSD or maybe a better way to wire it in? I had the signal wires connected to contact points of the coil.
 
sorry dude, havent been down that road yet, never fooled with upgrading the renix, its hard enough as it is to diagnose but renix actually puts out better mpgs than the newer jeeps. sorry can't be of help there
