Has anyone on here replace the bushings in the A-arms on the front of a chevy. I do most of my on work wondering just how hard is it to rebuild the front end on my truck. It is the first year with independent suspension. Also wondering about leveling up the leveling the front of the truck up with the rear looks to be about 3 inches in height difference. Any and all help with tis would be appreciated. It has 205,000 mile on it with all orignal front end parts.

Thanks Lil Roger

the easiest way to knock the bushing out of the control arms is to use an air hammer on the bushing cup lip and drive them out. Then use a BFH to drive the new in.

very physical, worse without power tools. If you are creative with a press, you could do the same.

Get a 2" leveling kit for the front, I think they run about $200 or so, doesn't effect ride.

Those leveling kits put the CVs and balljoints at some pretty rough angles though. I've got about an inch on my 97 and I go through balljoints about every year.
