there is no info online where to drill and tap this steering box. checked hundreds of forums, sites. tired of looking with no luck. has anyone done theirs? need some pics or some type of help to get this done! trying to turn a spool and 40s about got bad at the flats 2 weekends ago

I can try to get pics tomorrow but on my dad's 88 bronco I put one fitting in the side of the box near the bump that the output shaft goes through and the other fitting was directly in the end towards the front of the truck. It needs to get fluid from each side of the piston that moves front to back when steering.

This is the best pic I could get holding a flashlight and the camera by myself. If its not good enough I can try with a helper this Saturday. At the top center you can see the elbow that is tapped into the box for the right turn line and the top hose on the right side of the pic is the left turn hose going into the end of the gear box directly opposite of the input or steering column you can make out the shiny clean elbow and threads, there's a kind of thicker section there that I drilled and tapped. The right side hose is about one inch below the top cap where you adjust the freeplay and just towards the front of the truck from the center of the output shaft.

I installed the elbows with the box apart to besure everything inside would clear, I had to trim some of the ends of the threads to keep it from rubbing the output shaft.

The two bottom lines running across the pic are the box output to cooler and the cooler to reservoir lines. I wasnt able to pull them out of the way and hold everything, lol.

OK. I'll see what I can do.
