9/18/10 Triad Meet & Greet # 4

Last meet went really well, want to keep this going, there has been discussion of a cookout before it gets cold again.
My buddy Jon actually had mentioned that he would be willing to host a cookout type event at his shop sometime.

Really need alot of feedback on everyones interest.

His shop is located between Highpoint and Greensboro.

Or we could go to a local park or even continue hitting restaurants.

Let me know what you all have in mind, I posted September 18th as the date because the Mods will not like it if I leave it blank, but I am open to discussion, just need feedback from everyone.
 
I'm down for a cook out. Sounds like a good idea. Let's everyone talk and stuff at their own leisure. Checck out rigs and grub.
 
Im down for a cookout. Just an idea but what about the lexington mud pits? I know one of the owners and could probably get him to open the gates for us. We could cook out and hit the mud pits. They also have gravel mounds to drive over and one short trail.

Lol Nice, well I just want to hear from more people first, I will give Jon a call tomorrow and discuss a date with him. Need to figure out who all will be coming though, also, if this is going to be a big meet, the pull behind grill would be handy.

Keg would be fine, but would need to discuss it with Jon for liability purposes.

Hope to hear from some more people before I talk to Jon, really would like to know who all is coming for planning purposes.
 
the 18th is the day i was planning on going to the flats, but thats not set in stone, and neither is the meet date, but im more down for the meet anyway.
as for the tow behind grill, i jus need to know a little ahead of time. mud pits would be cool, but i think the turn out would be better at your buddys shop, if we could drink that is.
 
why not the 11th works alot better just saying
 
Its sooner than the 18th, only reason is planning takes time. If we could get everything planned out it would work, but need to hear from more people before we can really set anything in stone.

Only thing I think would be bad about having it at the Mud pit is if it rains, at Jon's I think Eric said we would be able to be inside if it rains. Though I would really love to play in the mud pit :bounce2:

Maybe we should set up rain date if its going to be big meet with cookout. I vote for rain on the 18th and rain date on 25th :lol:
 
As of yet no date set in stone, just was left a nasty note from a mod last time for not following the rules.
Open for Discussion on dates, location, etc...
Could switch it up to Pizza... Little Caesars Cheese/Pepperonis are like 6 bucks a piece for large, could pick up a bunch of those and charge everyone a few bucks on the cheap, or maybe order some pizza from somewhere a little more pricey.
If it rains that would be alot easier than cooking out.
We can work out a date that works for folks

Feel free to to make suggestions.

I will add a Poll for attendance once we determine the date

hmm I may have to try it, being from the North(NJ) I have yet to find any pizza that is remotely as good as pizza from NJ/NY down here and I am doubting any chain pizza could be it :lol:

OK so I vote for the 25th :beer: all y'all should goto the Flats on the 18th
 
Never had hungry howies, my favorite pizza is still from up north aswell, Pennsylvania though, Thin like a NY style, but with a sweet dough.

Up for whatever, was unable to get a hold of Jon today, his phone was going straight to voicemail, so I will try again tomorrow.

Alright, lets plan for the 25th then if thats good, still need to talk to Jon, hopefully that date works for him, if not we could either do another restaurant meet or find another place for a cookout. Lets do a little more discussion here then I will delete this thread and make a new one with the new information.
 
Will talk to Jon today, where is everyone else? Would like to hear from others from the meet, hoping to keep this going, last meet was a great turn out and I would like to continue that.

ok so im lost here is it at the shop or not? i think the shop would be the best place...lexington is a hot minute from my house in my truck...i still say damn the chain restaraunts we can kick it old school....
 
Could do it at the shop, but Jon wants to make things complicated. Wants to get a headcount in advance, order food, then sell it by the slice if we do pizza and so on. To me that complicates things, but maybe thats just me. He said he would get a big cooler of beer and drinks and order pizza and then sell everything individually. If thats cool with everyone, that works, just seems complicated in my head for some reason.
