9/18/10 Triad Meet & Greet # 4

i think that would be complicated, id bring my own beer before i bought it individually. i see his point for the head count on pizza. what if everyone just ate before they came, or stopped and grabbed something for them selves before hand, and we just hung out and kicked it?
that cuts down on all the complication. everyone eat before hand, then we drink and hang out.
 
works with me just let me know becouse i am thinking maybe going park and cooking i mean people grab there stuff you list them or someone buy it all food wise and charge like 3$ for everything i mean it makes it easyer and all

you know a headcount in advance will never work, people will cancel last minute, then others will bring folks they werent bringing :lol:
I think it does complicate things to much IMO. Does he really want to stand there all night collecting money for every drink and slice of pizza 25 people want? I say everyone bring some beer or whatever they want to drink and then we can take collection for pizza after people get there OR we do the bbq.

It actually doesnt matter to me what way its done.

What about collecting $10 each from everyone who is attending via paypal or something like that before the party. If you are going to order 10+ pizza's you should be able to get them cheaper then the normal price from a non chain pizza place. Then get 2 or 3 different beers that people will drink.

Where else could you go for 10 bucks for food and beer? If more beer is needed then just take collection at the party and go get it.
 
That would work, would everyone be willing to do that?

Only paypal I have is my parents, but I could make that work. Or even get the money in person, the day before even, that way we could be prepared, get the food delivered around 6:30 or 7 and I can go buy sodas/water/beer/ice

Any money I had leftover I could donate to NC4x4, or use it to purchase koozies or maybe save up for shirts for those who attend.
Or maybe even save up for a few meets at the very least to buy recovery gear, gift certificates, etc... to raffle off at meets down the road.

Dude, you really need to start reading. You have asked 10x, haven't changed anything, as of now we plan to have it at Jons shop. Talked to Jon yesterday, he is wanting to discuss more options, also Comner wants to do a whole hog bbq for the meet. Just have to talk to Jon more and work out the details. You know how things go at the shop, always something else going on, hard to actually sit down and talk about things.

Man leave for a weekend and miss out on all kinds of stuff.
I like the eat before/bring your beer, or Cook a pig and bring beer. Last time we cooked a pig I think it was about $6 a head just to cover the pig.
 
Ive never cooked a whole hog, so I don't know. Its honestly alot more complicated coordinating this with Jon then it would be a restaurant, is my only issue. I may just talk to Jon, maybe just bring your own drinks and socialize, Jon is changing the plan almost daily and its making this beyond difficult to set up.

Will have things set in stone this friday.
 
i say eat before, BYOB. then Jons not liable for anything, no complication, and everyone gets to actually hang out.
 
well if we do a restrunt we need to try figer it out alittle just a plan b you know so we wont be trying to figer it all out on friday i say applebees

A good many of the guys from last time came with 77greenmachine, 1 guy came with Dog from Cherokee forum I believe, Zack is on the board but I don't think Ive ever seen him post, he came with the 2 girls, list goes on. Nissan11 and oleblue are the only people I don't think weve heard from again otherwise.

What? The meet isn't planned until september 25th. A plan b is a good idea.

Both would work, good food, good prices. Could go Hooters again, but really not feeling the awful service.

Never been to applebee's, don't even know where one would be.

I will either have something worked out with Jon by friday, or will have decided on a restaurant, and then after we grub and what not those interested could head over to the shop to hang out for a while.
 
yeah i did bring quite a crew with me, should be able to do the same for the next, maybe even more. still trying to get those guys to get on here.

im down with the shop or Hams at the paladium. either one sounds great. as for hooters, you right XJ, the service was :poop:. poor 95GranZJ got coverd in drink and she didnt even act like she was sorry, they were slow, my waitress was dumb with no sense of humor and it was way too high:fuck-you:

X2 on Hams, either one. Hooters service SUCKED! and the prices.

Maybe we should make the meet at Jon's in October so have more time to decide and plan, plus it will be cooler out then to with less chance of late in day rain?

Thats what Im telling Jon, more or less, we can head up to the shop after the meet at Hams, or we can all eat in advance and just hang out at Jons, this way we avoid any confusion, and minimize complication. Ordering food in advance and doing money take ups never work out with out a headcount, and it seems near impossible to get an accurate one for now.

Leaning toward the Hams at Palladium at 6, then afterwards those interested can ride up to the shop and hang out. The shop is only 3 miles from the Hams.

Will have for sure info posted up by friday.

yeah this sounds good to me. we could get that whole outdoor section to our selves if we call ahead. and lots of room to chill in the parking lot and check rigs out. maybe RTI ramp at the shop afterwards?

They don't have an RTI, but Comer might make one if I give him enough notice. Might want to charge a few bucks for everyone to use it, to try to cover materials. I will talk to Jon and Comer about it.
Also, my bros XJ took a major beating wheeling last weekend, we haven't got the parts together to fix it yet, so I figure we will be in the mustang again this meet lol
 
oh, i was thinking that somone who comes to the meets has one from previous convo about meets. but yeah if everyone threw in like $3 to use it or something and we had 15-20ish rigs again that would be great.
