Through certain events I now own a 91 7.3 ford. It's not getting any fuel. The p.o. Said the fuel filter light came on and he lost power. Proceeded to replace filter, and then wouldn't start. It is now my issue to deal with and it isn't getting fuel. I don't know much about diesels or care too. I want to get it running and get what I was owed out of it. I know first step would be priming fuel but not sure how. Any help would be appreciated. It's 4x4 manual if that makes any difference.

Yes, Crack injectors and crank. It's not abnormal to have leaking return lines cause a hard start!

It should have a Schrader valve on the top of the filter housing.. Depress the core and see if fuel or air comes out. If air comes out, crank it until you get fuel (or leave key on if it's got an electric pump.. I think it's a mechanical pump iirc) I did a 7.3 that got gassed (7.3 will light water in fuel & die, unlike most diesels that will run-on & self destruct if gassed.. I didn't need to bleed injector lines and thought I would have to. Same way on a couple other diesels, have had to bleed a couple)
