We're looking at a '91 Cherokee (2 door, 4.0L, auto). Being a '91, it PROBABLY has the closed cooling system since '91 was a changeover year. It's got 131,000 miles on it. Anything unusual on XJs that I need to be aware of? It APPEARS to have a BB and 31s. I'm going to see it in person tomorrow evening.

Trac bar and front control arm bushings usually start to wear out. $35s for oem trac bar and less than $100 for all the bushings.

Thanks fellas. The engine was strong and very clean. It doesn't have a closed cooling system so that was a plus, as well. The 231 shifted fine and felt tight. Had a noise from the rear end as you come to a stop...he says it might be a drum out-of-round. I passed on it. Slightly overpriced IMO for the year and small issues.
