919.4x4 "is a small town club down in Holly Springs NC," started by Travis Smith, aka NC919.4x4_XJ.
In September, it was brought to the club's attention that someone had spraypainted "919.4x4" on a rock and tree on the Daniel trail at Uwharrie National Forest. The post was deleted from their forum and when the graffiti was brought up again a little over a week ago, Travis had this to say:
Sounds pretty mature, right? Except when biggoofy called NC919.4x4_XJ out, again, about his post from September being deleted, Travis feigned ignorance and then dissembled to make it seem like he was just getting a notification that a thread had been deleted. Travis was less interested in getting it fixed than in making excuses and trying to delete all mention of the incident. He even requested we make their forum private.
NC4x4 has provided 919.4x4 with their own forum since March of this year. As with all the other club forums, we don't ask anything of the clubs other than the forum remain active and all members abide by the rules of the board.
The purpose of this thread is, primarily, to call the club and their leadership out for not taking responsibility for this incident. As is mentioned several times in the other thread, we all make mistakes. The actions, when it came time to step up, spoke volumes about the character of this club and its members. No follow up, no attempt to straighten this mess out. This is not the way to handle or learn from mistakes.
I feel it is just as important to publicly thank the folks who took the time to go to Daniel this past Saturday and clean the paint off the rock and the tree, when 919.4x4 would not. Chris and Alicia Marshall, Zack and Kelly Dent, and Paul Poplin... THANK YOU!

Hey guys,
I was just told about this thread, i don't get on "The garage" section often but like one of these guys said we were being young and dumb. I know it's not an excuse, and it wasn't a smart idea but as soon as i can get aride out to uwharrie i will head up there and remove it myself or ask a fellow member to do so.
Sorry for being such jackass' and i really hate to see the club get bashed like this, it sucks that we've gotten ourself a bad name now but i would like to apologize on behalf of the club & whoever did it.
If y'all need to, you can remove the club from the club section or do whatever needs to be done.
if things could clear up and blow over, it'd be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Travis

I have to deal with it, and figure out a way to drive almost 2 hours, out of my way, not even to wheel, to remove some stupid paint off a rock.
