Just thought I would start a thread for the 92 XJ I bought a few months ago and have been working on a bit. Its mainly going to be my DD but will get wheeled some on weekends. Picked it up real cheap from a local guy, only had 151k miles and has a newer motor in it.

Right after I bought it and put some wheels and tires on it that I already had. They tires on it were bald. These are 235/75-15's.

Put some 2" blocks in the back and 2.25" spacers in the front and slapped on some Moab wheels and aome new 265/75-16 Goodyear Wrangler Td's. Got the wheels off the forum and the tires from a local shop. So far im happy with the tires, go pretty good in the mud and don't make much noise.

Tried out the tires a little the day I had them put on, rubbed like hell especially with 5 people in the Jeep.

Trimmed the fenders and flares a little, and angled the bumper a little. Also added some longer shackles, lifted it about 1.5" more and got the rear a little higher that the front.

Ordered all the parts I needed to convert the front end to 97+. The best deals I found on new parts was $67 w/ free shipping for the header panel on Ebay. And I bought the grill, headlight surrounds, parking lights, and marker lights on RockAuto for about $45 shipped.

Everything fit better that I figured it would considering how cheap it was. The newer header panel doesn't match up to the fenders perfect on the corners, but its not enough for me to worry about.

I picked up a homemade bumper yesterday from a guy on the forum. Also picked up some 97+ flares, and a straight drivers side fender. Gonna get it all put on and hopefully take it to Maaco in Hickory in a week or 2 to get it painted.

Got this at Harbor Freight the other day, hoping to build some tube doors before summer.

And a couple pics of my 88 Comanche and other Jeeps I've had.

Thats not bad on the front end parts.....I'd say they wouldn't be any cheaper in a junk yard
