i have been wanting to put lockers in my truck but have been told the ifs just wont hold up. so i wanted to do the sas with no bigger than 37s. i have been told the dana 44 would be the best to use for that size tire and a everyday driver. guess im looking for more experienced opinions.

dana 44 & 37s should be fine as long as you do not have a heavy right foot

I thought that but I seen that some guy on here had HPd60 on here with a 14 bolt rear for sale but idk about this stuff I'm just now getting into it.if it was yours what would you do to it just to make it stand out and hold up to the occasionally muddin.my dyestuff instinct is to buy all the best stuff there and pay someone to do it but I would like to do it myself. I called around to ppl where I live and just the labor cost 2k

if i was going to do it i would do a hp60 front & a 14 bolt rear & 4.88 gears for the axles
so you do not have to do all of that work 2 times if you go to biggers tires

do not know on MPG
but lockers i would do arb front & rear (or arb rear & lockrite front if on a bugget ) if you are going to drive it on the road alot so you can keep your rear axle unlocked to save on tires
just my .02

If your gonna run 37's do NOT run a Dana 44. It will just be a waste of time and money. 37's will put a lot of stress on D44 components.

I have been but I don't have the money now I'm waiting on my settlement from a car accident I was in should be getting it soon just wanted ppls experienced ideas to help me out on what I should do and how I should do it

It is going to be cheaper to buy a set of already built axles than to build them yourself. Especially if you have to pay someone to set up the gears.
