I have a 93 k1500 and i considering doing a sas because the ifs just isnt going to hold up. I have no clue where to start i guess i am just looking more more experienced opinions

i have been told that the dana 44 would be all i need because this will be my everyday driver. I have built the 350 that is in it put bigger valves in it with a mild can and headers bored it .40 over and now i wanna do the sas just dont know where to start.

I want to go with 37 after the swap and lift and the goals are pretty much just use the truck as a dd and occasionally mud in it at the hunting club I hunt with they have some pretty big mud holes don't want a mud truck just something I can put some lockers in and do better than the ifs I have

the d44 is ok for 35" tires and daily driving, but if I was going to abuse it, I would go with a d60 especially with the 37's and occasional bogging. I have 2 sas Tahoes with the hpd44, running 35's but I just use them for daily drivers.

chevy d60's are a dime a dozen. you could probably pick one up for a few hundred bucks. the 77.5-79 ford d60 will probably cost at least a grand in rough shape. if you use a chevy d60, you will need to use a transfer case out of a 90-91 k5 blazer or suburban because of the passenger side drop.
