93 ISUZU TROOPER

I would think a yota axle would be the best bang for your buck considering strength versus price but I don't know about the width versus your rear axle probably prettty close though, or maybe even a D44 out of a jeep would do good.

look up turtle mechanic and joed on here...they have about 7000 isuzus between them and have forgotten more about them then I could ever look up.

Not gonna be cheap no matter what axle you use. Toyota w/ spacers or late 70's waggy d44 will both work. Leaf springs will prob be cheaper than a multi-link suspension (and easier).

If you have a manual trans then you will be dealing with a very short front driveshaft (at least my 1st gen was like that). So, if you can afford a high pinion toyota or retube a hi pinion d44 for pass drop, you'll probably have less problems.

If you have an auto you have a little more room to work with.

Either way, the cheapest part is getting the axle. Then you have to regear, rebuild, cut, weld, get nuts and bolts, etc--all the nickle and dime stuff.
