What's up guys?

I'll tell you what's up! My blood pressure....

I have '94 XJ Country. We've owned this since new. It has almost 280,000 miles. It's been relatively trouble free since new. Just recently it has developed some electrical gremlins. It's lost the radio, HVAC, turn signals, wipers, aux fan and??? I've removed and cleaned all the grounds. No change. I've changed batteries, checked power output from the distribution center. What I did find is about 4 fuses in the interior fuse block that have no power in or out. I cannot remove the 2 large plugs from the engine compartment to the fuse block inside. That was the only thing I have not checked.

I'm at my whits end. I would greatly appreciate some help diagnosing this issue.

Thanks guys.

There is a bolt through the center of the bulk head where the harness goes from the engine bay to the interior. What 4 fuses are dead. They may share a relay somewhere that has lost power. There are also several circuits in an xj that share interior grounds. I know when my overhead console was not working (intermittent problem) I would get a TCM communication code and the converter would not lock up. Found a bad ground behind the kick panel and fixed both things. Just have to do a little more searching.

Is there any damage to the fuse block? I had an XJ that the brake master leaked down on and melted the back of the fuse block. It had a bunch of wierd issues after that until I got it repaired/replaced.

X2 on checking what the fuses are powering and connect them in a wiring schematic and you should find so.w similarities...or find where they are loosing power when tracing from battery on. Make sense????/

I can't thank you guys enough. I spent this morning with a close friend that knows Mopar electrical. Most of my problems stemmed from a bad blower motor. He also removed an automatic starter system that hasn't worked in years and an old in car phone system. I now have a rather large pile of useless wire.

Everything is back to normal. Even my battery which I thought was shot is holding a charge properly and starting that thing right up.

I truly have no patience for electrical or computers. I'm grateful for guys like you and my good friend Jimmy.

Thanks again guys!!
