Hey guys, I just bought a 1995 F150 that has had a sas with axles from an older 3/4 8 lug f230. The SAS has been setup with rockram steering, bilstein remote resivior shocks, one piece dropped radius arms, and air bags rather than coil springs. The truck has had alot of work done on it and looks to be done very nicley. It has a ton of flex and seems to work great. I have a compressor in the toolbox for on board air and a electronic controller with pressue readouts seperate for each bag. My question is, what kind of airbag pressure do you think I should run on road and off roading? and also what kind of problems have you seen with this setup? I've never had a rig with airbags and I'm just trying to learn more about it. I will try to take some close pics and post in the next day or two. Any help would be great. Thanks!

The amount of air pressure you run will depend on the size of the bags themselves. A larger bag will take less pressure and more volume to hold the same weight as a smaller bag that takes more pressure less volume. If you have a way of accurately measuring how much is in each bag with the pressure readouts, I'd set the pressure to where you get a ride height you like then add or remove air till you get a decent plush ride. With airbags the shocks you run will have a big affect on the ride quality. A shock that is valved right for air suspension should give you a really nice ride when you get the pressure right.
If you get the pictures to work I'd really like to see how it's set up. Sounds like a pretty nice truck.

Thanks for the info and intrest in the truck. I do have digital readout for each bag and tank pressure. best ride height as I can tell is around 56-58 psi. adding a few mor psi does seem to make a great ride. My next question is how to add a dump valve for the airbags, because already a couple times I have put a little too much pressure in the bags accidently by holding the switch too long. It would be great if I could release some pressure somehow, I do have a two way switch for adding pressure but down has no use, either it is not operating or there is no dump valve hooked up. Thanks again guys.
