I have a 95 Tahoe I'm doing an SAS on. My dad had a 78 F-250 that caught on fire several years ago so before it went to the crusher I got the axles out from under it. Here are the specs:

1995 Tahoe 4 door 4x4 350 TBI
Dana 61 rear 4.10 LS
Dana 44 HD front 4.10
Sky-Mfg SAS kit with crossover steering
Sky-Mfg shackle flip
Barnes 4wd spring perches and u-bolt plates

For the front the Sky kits gives it 6 inches of lift with stock 73-87 Chevy truck front springs. I am using 2 inch lift front springs for a total of 8 inches.

In the rear I'm using a Sky shackle flip that will give 4 inches. I'm stacking the leaves from the F-250 under the top Tahoe leaf, and using the factory 4 inch blocks from the F-250.

Found a set of 5 37" Irok Radials on powdercoated H2s on craigslist that I will be running.

I got started last night and got the rear end out from under it.

Sounds cool. I've got a 98 model 2 door that I have toyed with doing an SAS on in the past. Aren't you worried it is going to be a little stiff in the rear with all those added leaves?

dang, you'll be running very close to the same setup under mine. wish y'all weren't 5 hours away, i'd go help. PM me if you want any money savin tips for it.

Stiff is what I'm hoping for. The stock rear has sagged about 2inches. The F-250 springs are only 2.5 inches wide and they're pretty thin so I don't think it will be too stiff.

I'm keeping the stock front spring hanger on the rear springs, only using the shackle flip so it'll be located in the same place. The front springs use bolts to locate the front spring hangers then they are welded in place.

Be sure to double check your front crossmember before you weld it....I messed mine up and my front axle is too far back. I used the sky kit also. Its going to look good

I read in the description online it said to locate it with bolts then weld it. I didn't get any instructions with it. Do you remember which bolt hole lines up where on the frame?

If I remember right, the spring hangar should be even with the edge of the front frame rails, maybe a little bit forward of the front edge. I would bolt/ tack the front brackets on, then sit it down on it's on weight to make sure. I am happy with mine but around spring time I'm cutting the leafs out and linking it with coilovers at all four corners.

Where in asheville are you? I'm working in Fletcher right now till the end of the week

Here are the tires and wheels I will be using. Minus the Hummer center caps. Unfortunately when the PO had them balanced, the tire shop put weights on the outside.

Progress update. Here's what I've got done the past two days.

The shackle flip brackets welded in. I had to plate the frame underneath them because there was an indention for the factory spring hanger.

I had no idea how much the F-250 springs would compress so I guessed and got lucky with the placement of the rear hangers. This is with full weight on the springs.
