Have an XJ going to the scrapyard and I have to drop the tank on it. Have a TJ that could use a new filter but iirc '97 has the all-in-one in the tank.

Anyone done this or something like it to get to an in-line fuel filter element so you don't have to drop the tank when you want to change a filter? Think I'll run into any electrical issues with one being pre-obd and one being obdII? Fitment issues?

Thanks to anyone with good info.

the '97 runs at 49 psi +/- where as the 95 runs at 35w/ vaccum. would not suggest the swap as you would have to also swap the fuel rail and retun line from the xj also. the connectors will need to be changed out also.

the only thing you might have to do is shorten the pick up tube on the pump i have done this swap and i had a inline filter on the frame so i left the one in the tank yrthe xj and tj uses the same pressure and the fuel rails may look different between the yr but will interchange in a snap
